Trapezoid Primitive dialog box (SST)
Trapezoid primitive definition
| Option | Description |
|---|---|
| Element Type | Lists the supported 2D element types. |
| Destination Collector | |
| Mesh Collector | Lets you select an existing collector. Click New Collector to use the Mesh Collector dialog box to create additional mesh collectors. See Mesh collectors for more information. |
| Definition | |
| Coordinate System | Lets you create or select a coordinate system. The software uses the origin of the coordinate system as the origin of the primitive.See CSYS dialog box for more information. |
| Minimum Y | Defines the starting position for the trapezoid primitive along the Y-axis as a distance measured from the origin of the specified Coordinate System. |
| Maximum Y | Defines the terminating position for the trapezoid primitive along the Y-axis as a distance measured from the origin of the specified Coordinate System.Note: Two sides of the trapezoid are parallel to X-axis. The other two sides converge on the origin. |
| Start Angle | Defines the angle between the edge nearest the X-axis and the X-axis. This defines the location of the first trapezoid edge. |
| End Angle | Defines the angle between the edge nearest the Y-axis and the X-axis. This defines the location of the last trapezoid edge. |
| Offset in Z | Defines an offset for the trapezoid primitive along the Z-axis as a distance from the origin. The base section of the trapezoid is always parallel to the X-Y plane. |
| Mesh Density | |
| Along Y axis | Defines the number of elements on the edges of the quadrilateral along the direction of the Y-axis limited by Minimum Y and Maximum Y. At the end of each traversal between the limits the element sequence continues at the Minimum Y the next layer up. |
| Along Sweep Angle | Defines the number of elements along the edges of the quadrilateral limited by Start Angle and End Angle. The number of elements defines the number of layers. |
| Top side points towards – Z | Select the check box to reverse the direction of the surface normals of the 2D elements so that they point towards the – Z direction. |
