Bearing dialog box

Destination Folder
Load Container Specifies the folder in the Simulation Navigator in which the boundary condition will be stored. The list includes the root container and existing folders that you created using the New Folder command. Examples of a root container include Load Container, Constraint Container, and Simulation Object Container. To view a hierarchical list of existing folders, click Folder Manager . To create a new folder, right-click any level of the hierarchy and choose New Folder.
Cylindrical or Circular Objects
Select Object Lets you select the cylindrical face or circular edge to which the bearing load will be applied.
Stacked Smart Selector Methods Opens the Smart Selector Methods dialog box where you can specify a progression of smart selection filters. For more information, see Smart Selector Methods dialog box.
Direction
Specify Vector Defines the direction of the bearing load. For more information, see Vector dialog box.To reverse the direction of the vector, click Reverse Direction .
Properties
Force Sets the magnitude of the bearing load. For more information, see Additional magnitude options.
Angle or Region Angle (Abaqus only) Sets the angular region that the bearing load force distribution acts over. The angular region can be any value between 0 and 360 degrees (0 and 2π radians). The angular region is centered about the direction of the bearing load. The intensity of the bearing load force distribution peaks at the center of the angular region and is zero at the ends of the angular region. The Angle box sets the angle. The units list sets the units to degrees or radians. displays a menu of options for defining the value of the angle. For more information, see Additional magnitude options.
Distribution
Method Specifies how the intensity of the force distribution varies over the angular region: as a Sinusoidal or Parabolic distribution.
Card Name Displays the name of the solver card for the load.
