Plot mode, ATV, or VATV set contours

Use this procedure to examine the mode, ATV, or VATV results.

  1. For mode and ATV results, make the target component FEM the displayed part. For VATV results, make the target Simulation file the displayed part.

  2. In the Simulation Navigator, expand the Mode Set, ATV Set, or VATV Set node, right-click the set, and choose Plot Contour.

  3. From the Scenarios list, choose Contour Plots and click Create Scenario.

  4. If you are plotting a mode set:In the Selection group, select the Structural Mode and DOF results to display. To display individual DOF directions, clear the Magnitude check box.If you are plotting an ATV set or VATV set:In the Selection group, select the Frequency and Microphone results to display.

  5. Click Plot. The results are plotted.

  6. When you are finished examining the results, click Close.

  7. Click Return to Model .

Note:

Plot Contour plots only the original imported set. The effect of a connected assembly FEM will not be shown.
