Create a table field from a formula field

  1. In the Simulation Navigator, under Fields, select the formula field.

  2. Right-click and choose Create Table Field.Caution: The number next to the command name Create Table Field tells you the number of rows that will be created for the table. If the number is very large, it might take a long time to create the table. The number of rows is determined by the number of independent variables in your formula. The default number of rows is 100 for each independent variable.Tip: To reduce the number of rows, you can modify the bounds for the formula field. Here is a suggested workflow:Clone the formula field. For information on how to clone a field, see Clone a field.Edit the cloned formula field and modify the bounds for each variable to include a smaller number of points.Create a table field from the modified formula field.Delete the cloned field.
