Solver environment variables (Simcenter Samcef)

You can use the following optional environment variables in the Simcenter Samcef environment:

Variable	Description
UGII_SAMCEF	Path to the Simcenter Samcef solver executable.Note: If this variable is not set, the Simcenter Samcef environment uses the Simcenter Samcef solver embedded in the software installation.
UGII_SAM_ZONE	Solver memory (MB).

Note:

You can set up both these variables for the solve (export) and the import processes.

Note:

All these variables can also be defined as default options for Simcenter 3D in the Customer Defaults.

Importing a model

Menu	File→Import→Simulation→Samcef
Location in dialog box	Samcef File Import dialog box→Solver parameters tab

Menu	File→Utilities→Customer Defaults
Location in dialog box	Simulation→Pre/Post→Samcef→Solver Parameters tab
