Across gap coupling convection correlations

If you create an Across Gap Coupling type of Thermal Coupling — Convection, the Type option in the Parameters group of the Thermal Coupling — Convection dialog box lets you control how the software models the convection.

Between Large Parallel Horizontal Surfaces

Between Large Parallel Horizontal Plates calculates heat transfer inside a closed cavity between two closely spaced parallel horizontal surfaces. The other surfaces of the cavity are assumed to be adiabatic.

Between Large Parallel Inclined Surfaces

Between Large Parallel Inclined Surfaces calculates heat transfer inside a closed cavity between two closely spaced parallel surfaces. The other surfaces of the cavity are assumed to be adiabatic.

Between Concentric Spheres

Between Concentric Spheres calculates heat transfer between the inner surface of a larger sphere and the outer surface of a smaller concentric sphere. The space between the surfaces is assumed to be relatively small compared to the diameters of the spheres.

Between Long Horizontal Cylinders

Between Long Concentric Horizontal Cylinders calculates heat transfer between the inner surface of a larger cylinder and the outer surface of a smaller coaxial cylinder.
