Viscoplastic Lemaitre and Prager material properties (Simcenter Samcef)

Viscoplastic materials depend on strain velocity. Viscoplasticity can be compared to plasticity when time effects are taken into account.

You can define Simcenter Samcef viscoplastic Lemaitre and Prager properties in a Samcef Isotropic Structure, in a Samcef Orthotropic Structure, or in a Samcef Anistropic Structure material, in the Viscoplasticity page on the Manage Materials dialog box.

Lemaitre law (isotropic hardening)

Viscoplastic property Notes
Viscoplastic Type Select Lemaitre Law (.MAT BEHAV "LWLE").
Creep parameters
Creep Parameter (EXPN) n exponent.
Creep Parameter (BIGK) K resistance factor.
Hardening parameter
Istropic Hardening (EXPM) m exponent.
Damage parameters
Damage Parameter (COEN) 1/S coefficient.
Damage Parameter (EXEN) m coefficient.
Damage Parameter (PDEN) elim value.
Damage Parameter (DDEN) dmax value.

Prager law (linear kinematic hardening)

Viscoplastic Type Select Prager Law (.MAT BEHAV "LWPR").
Creep parameters
Creep Parameter (EXPN) n exponent.
Creep Parameter (BIGK) K resistance factor.
Creep Parameter (LITK) k factor.
Hardening parameter
Kinematic Hardening (COCA) ca1 coefficient.
Damage parameters
Damage Parameter (COEN) 1/S coefficient.
Damage Parameter (EXEN) m coefficient.
Damage Parameter (PDEN) elim value.
Damage Parameter (DDEN) dmax value.

Note:

You can only use these properties in a Simcenter Samcef structural non-linear analysis.
