Laminate Composites > Material properties for laminate plies
Create a core ply material
Choose Laminates tab→Materials group→Ply Materials .The Laminate Ply Material Manager dialog box is displayed.
From the Type list, select Core.
Click Create.The Laminate Ply Material dialog box is displayed.
From the Material list, select one of the materials already loaded into the FEM file or click Choose Material to select, modify, or create a material.
From the Strength Correction Factor list, do the followingTo specify a constant value for the strength correction factor, select Expression and enter a value in the Expression box.To specify a strength correction factor that is a function of ply thickness, select Field and use Specify Field options to define the function.
Click OK to close the Laminate Ply Material dialog box.
Click Close to close the Laminate Ply Material Manager dialog box.
