Import an UNV test solution

You import a test solution for a correlation or model update solution process to an existing Simulation file, which contains a structural analysis solution.

  1. Choose Correlation tab→Correlation group→Test Reference .

  2. In the Solution group, from the Solver list, select Modal Test Data.

  3. Click Create Solution.

  4. In the Test Solution group, from the File Format list, select UNV.

  5. In the Universal File Input group, in the UNV File 1 box, specify the path and name of the UNV file that contains the geometry.

  6. From the UNV File 1 Units list, select the desired unit system.

  7. In the UNV File 2 box, specify the path and name of the UNV file that contains mode shapes or FRF data.

  8. From the UNV File 2 Units list, select the desired unit system.

  9. In the Filter Result Types group, select the Ignore FRF Data check box for a modal correlation solution process.

  10. In the Mode Shape Options group, from the Complex Mode Shape Format list, select the format used to import test mode shapes.
