Laminate Composites > Creating a laminate physical property > Validating laminate properties and strength
Strength analysis data exported to a spreadsheet or a CSV file
The following strength analysis data is exported to a spreadsheet or a CSV file:
Ply stresses or strains
Ply and bond failure indices
Ply and bond margins of safety
These results are computed at the ply top, middle and bottom locations.
Stresses are computed except when the laminate failure theory is set to maximum strain.
To get ply failure indices and margins of safety, you must define ply allowable stresses or strains.
To get bond failure indices and margins of safety, you must define an allowable stress for bonding.
The software extracts the minimum margin of safety and uses it to scale the applied loads, thereby calculating the allowable loads for the laminate.
