Convection (Simcenter Samcef)
Convection models the heat exchange of a structure with a fluid at a prescribed temperature or a prescribed enthalpy.
When you define the Convection constraint on a support, you define:
The Fluid Temperature (TFC).
The Convection Coefficient (CONV).
The Exponent (EXP) of the convection law.
Where do I find it?
To define the convection, do one of the following:
In the Simulation Navigator, right-click Constraint Container→New Constraint→Convection.
In the Simulation Navigator under a Solution, right-click Constraints → New Constraint→ Convection.
Choose Home tab→Loads and Conditions group→Convection .
Select geometry. Right-click and choose Create Constraint→Convection.
