Incremental stability (Simcenter Samcef)

When you want to detect the initial bifurcation of a model after a nonlinear solve, you can use an incremental stability analysis to obtain an accurate evaluation of the buckling load.

In this type of analysis, Simcenter Samcef assumes that the structure has a linear behavior.

After a Nonlinear Analysis solve, you solve a Standalone Buckling Analysis solution and you choose the Incremental Stability Analysis chaining type in the Chaining page of the solution.

In the Standalone Buckling Analysis solution, you select either a previous nonlinear solution in the current model, or the results file of an externally solved nonlinear solution.

For more information, see Chaining with a standalone buckling solution (Simcenter Samcef).
