Chaining with a linear static solution (Simcenter Samcef)
You can chain a Linear Static active solution with several other solved solutions. In the solution's Chaining page, you select the solved solution you want to chain with and define the chaining parameters.

| Source Type | Lets you select a Solution already defined in the current model to chain with, or an External File Simcenter Samcef binary file (.u18) to extract chaining data from. |
Static pre-stress chaining type
The Static pre-stress chaining type chains two linear static analyses. In the active linear static solution, you select the previous linear solution's load case from which you want to retrieve the pre-stress data.

Static with centrifugal stiffness chaining type
The Static with centrifugal stiffness chaining type chains two linear static analyses. In the active linear static solution, you select the previous linear solution's load case from which you want to retrieve the centrifugal stiffness.

Static with initial imperfection chaining type
The Static with initial imperfection chaining type chains a buckling analysis with a linear static one. The linear static active solution uses one of the computed buckling modes as the initial imperfection condition for the linear static solving.

Chained thermal-structural analysis chaining type
The Chained thermal-structural analysis chaining type chains a thermal analysis with a static linear one. In the active linear static solution, you select the reference time at which the nodal temperatures must be retrieved from the thermal solution. These temperatures become thermal loads.

Chained thermal-structural analysis with dissimilar mesh chaining type
The Chained thermal-structural analysis with dissimilar mesh chaining type chains a mapping solution with a linear static one. In the active linear static solution, you select the reference time at which the nodal temperatures (or the degree of cure values or the glass transition temperatures) have to be retrieved from the thermal solution. These results become thermal loads.
