Modify combined load cases in a dialog box
You can modify combined load cases directly in the Load Case Combine dialog box, which works well for modifying a few combined load cases. If you want to modify a large number of combined load cases, see Modify combined load cases in a spreadsheet or text editor.
In the Simulation Navigator, under the solution for which you want to modify combined load cases, expand the Results node, right-click Structural, and choose Combined Load Cases.
To update the name of a combined load case, click in a Combined Load Case name cell, type the new name, and press Enter. You cannot change the names of subcases. They must match the name of the subcases in the solution.
To update the scale factor, click in a Scale cell and type the new number, or type one of the following abbreviations:To use the Limit to Ultimate Factor customer default, type ltou for limit to ultimate or u for ultimate. To use the inverse of the Limit to Ultimate Factor customer default, type utol for ultimate to limit or l for limit.
To remove a subcase and its scale factor:In the Combined Load Cases table, select the combined load case from which you want to remove a subcase. From the Combined Load Case Components list, select the subcase to remove, and click Remove.
To add a subcase to a combined load case:In the Combined Load Cases table, select the combined load case to which you want to add a subcase. From the Combined Load Case Components list, select the subcase to add, adjust the scale factor if necessary, and click Add.
To delete a combined load case, right-click it and choose Delete.
When you are finished updating the combined load cases, click OK.
