View Laminate dialog box

Option	Description
Select Objects	Appears in the FEM file.Lets you select objects to display their laminate physical property.
Stacked Smart Selector Methods	Opens the Smart Selector Methods dialog box where you can specify a progression of smart selection filters.For more information, see Smart Selector Methods dialog box.
Select Element	Appears when you display ply results in the Post Processing Navigator.Lets you select an element to display its laminate physical property and critical ply results information.
Select Element by Label	Appears when you display ply results in the Post Processing Navigator.Sets the label of the element for which you want to view the laminate.

Ply Sketcher
View	Specifies the appearance of the global ply laminate zone.ExplodedScaledFeaturedThe laminate reference plane is the solid black horizontal line.When you choose Exploded or Featured, the software displays the ID, material, thickness, and angle of each ply.Note: You can modify the displayed font type and size on the Color/Font tab in the Visualization Preferences dialog box. Zoom	Available when View is set to Exploded or Scaled.Sets the overall thickness of the layup display.
Number of Plies	Displays the total number of plies in the laminate.
Thickness	Displays the total thickness of the layup.
Ply Layup
Global Ply ID	Identifies the global ply with a unique number.
Composition	Displays the material of the global ply.
Thickness	Displays the thickness of the global ply.
Angle	Displays the angle of the global ply in relation to the material orientation.
Critical Ply Information
Appears when you display ply results in the Post Processing Navigator.You can view this information even if zones are not computed.
Component	Displays the components of the displayed ply results. If the result type has no components, in the Component column, Scalar is displayed.
Min. Value	Displays the minimum value of the component of the displayed ply results.
Min. Ply	Identifies the ply where the minimum value occurs.
Max. Value	Displays the maximum value of the component of the displayed ply results.
Max. Ply	Identifies the ply where the maximum value occurs.
Compute Zones	Recomputes zones.

Stress Strain Plots tab

Appears when you display ply results in the Post Processing Navigator.

Plot Selection
Component	Specifies which component of stress or strain is displayed in the plot area.
Stress 11
The displayed group name depends on the component that you selected in the Plot Selection group.
Plot area	Displays the stress or strain component in the ply or the laminate coordinate system as a function of laminate thickness.The blue symbols correspond to the middle of each ply.
