Simcenter Samcef Function Plots scenario

You can create a Function Plots scenario in the Scenario Based Data-Visualization Navigator.

In the Data Sources node:

• You can select the Data Source of the results.

In the Definition node:

• You can choose the results to display.For more information on these results, see Results and filtering criteria for post-processing scenarios in Simcenter Samcef.

In the Selection node, you can filter the selected result value to display:

• You can select the ply (for ply-based results) or the group of elements (for element-based results) to display.

• Depending on the type of the results, you can also select the components and the criteria to apply.

Click Plot to plot the result.

Note:

When you plot the result, you may encounter the following warning message: Result for curve ‘curve_name’ for support ‘support’ could be partial result due to selected output request. Check your output request.

The possible reasons for that warning are:

• The selected support for the plot contains a mix of metallic and composite elements.

• The selected support for the plot contains elements that are not compatible with the result to plot.

• The result has been only output on a subset of the elements of the support you select for the plot.

In all these cases, the curve only displays the result on the subset of allowed elements of the selected support.
