Configure columns in the material list

You can add, remove, or rearrange the columns in the list of materials in the Assign Material, Manage Materials, and Material Library Manager dialog boxes.

Hiding or showing the default columns

By default, the following columns are displayed: Name, Category, Type, Used, Location, Library, and Young’s Modulus. You can quickly hide or show these default columns.

  • In the material list, right-click any column heading (as shown in 1 in the following graphic), select Columns, and then clear the check box next to the name of the column that you want to hide.

Adding new columns

  1. In the material list, right-click any column heading and select ColumnsConfigure.The Configure Columns dialog box displays.

  2. In the list of columns, select the check box next to the name of each column that you want to add.Tip: To clear all of the check boxes, click Select no columns .

  3. Click OK.

The columns that you add in this manner are now displayed in the list of default columns (which display when you right-click a column heading and select Columns), so that you can then easily hide and show them.

Rearranging columns

  1. In the material list, right-click any column heading and select ColumnsConfigure.The Configure Columns dialog box displays.

  2. In the list of columns, select the column that you want to move.

  3. Click or to change the position of the column.

  4. Click OK.
