  • To modify most values, double-click the appropriate cell, or right-click the cell and choose Edit.

  • To return to a cell's original value, select the cell or cells, right-click and choose Reset to Original Value.

  • To reset all values in a column, right-click the column heading, and choose Reset to Original Value.

Tip:

You can select multiple cells by using the Shift or Ctrl keys.

Options
Active Sets the mode to be active () or inactive (). To change the value, click it.This allows you to suppress the modes you want to remove from the simulation.
Exported Index Displays the mode identification number as exported. Making modes inactive updates this list.
Undamped Frequency (Hz) Lists the undamped modal frequency value computed by a Nastran SOL 103 Real Eigenvalue solution.
Modal Damping (%) Lists the modal damping percentage for the mode. The modal damping is the rate of energy dissipation. To change the modal damping, double-click the value, or right-click and choose Modify Value. Enter a value between zero (0.0% damping) and 100.0 (100% damping).
Modal Mass Real Part Lists the Real part of the modal mass matrix.
Modal Mass Img Part Lists the Imaginary part of the modal mass matrix.
Equivalent Modal Viscous Damping (%) Available for (*.op2) file data sources generated from Simcenter Nastran SOL 103 Eigenvalue solutions.Cannot be edited.Lists the equivalent modal viscous damping percentage.
Scale Factor (Modal Viscous Damping) Available for (*.op2) file data sources generated from Simcenter Nastran SOL 103 Eigenvalue solutions.Scales the modal viscous damping percentage by the factor you enter.
Equivalent Modal Structural Damping (%) Available for (*.op2) file data sources generated from Simcenter Nastran SOL 103 Eigenvalue solutions.Cannot be editedLists the equivalent modal structural damping percentage.
Scale Factor (Modal Structural Damping) Available for (*.op2) file data sources generated from Simcenter Nastran SOL 103 Eigenvalue solutions.Scales the modal structural damping percentage by the factor you enter.
Data Source: Mode ID Lists the data source file name and the associated, local mode ID for the mode separated by a colon. The first modes listed in this column originate from primary data sources while any subsequent modes originate from companion (additional) data sources.
Annotation Lists the mode number, frequency, and subcase name, if available. If the Mode Set or FRF Set modes are imported from measurements, the annotation describes the test data set.You can add to, or replace, the annotation.
Opens a spreadsheet from which you can edit the modes.
Exports the modes to a .csv file.
Imports the modes from a .csv file.
