Assign physical properties to CBEAR elements

  1. In the Simulation Navigator, expand the 1D Collectors node to reveal the bearing collectors.

  2. Right-click on the bearing collector node and choose Edit.

  3. In the Mesh Collector dialog box, next to Bearing Property click Edit .

  4. In the PBEAR dialog box, expand the Stiffness Matrix group.

  5. Enter values in the TXX, TXY, TYX, and TYY boxes to define stiffness values that are independent of speed. To define speed-dependent stiffness, from the TXX, TXY, TYX, and TYY lists, select Field. For information on fields, see Fields.

  6. In the PBEAR dialog box, expand the Viscous Damping Matrix group.

  7. Enter values in the TXX, TXY, TYX, and TYY boxes to define viscous damping values that are independent of speed. To define speed-dependent viscous damping, from the TXX, TXY, TYX, and TYY lists, select Field. For information on fields, see Fields.

  8. Click OK.
