Disjoint Fluid Mesh Pairing dialog box (Flow/ESC/Multiphysics)

Option Description
Type Automatic PairingAllows the software to detect matching polygon faces for contact between disjoint fluid meshes.Manual PairingAllows you to select a pair of similar polygon faces to define primary and secondary regions for contact between disjoint fluid meshes.
Name
Name Sets a name for the simulation object. The name appears in the Simulation Navigator and the graphics window.DescriptionSpecifies a description for the simulation object.
Destination Folder
Simulation Object Container Specifies the folder in the Simulation Navigator in which the boundary condition will be stored. The list includes the root container and existing folders that you created using the New Folder command. Examples of a root container include Load Container, Constraint Container, and Simulation Object Container.
Folder Manager Displays a hierarchical listing of existing folders. To create a new folder, right-click any level of the hierarchy and choose New Folder.
Automatic Face Pair Creation
Appears when Type is set to Automatic Pairing.
Create Face Pairs Opens the Create Automatic Face Pairs dialog box, which enables you to specify face pair generation properties, preview face pairs, and generate face pairs automatically.
Boundary Condition Generation
Appears when Type is set to Automatic Pairing.
Associate to Automatic Pair Recipe Specifies whether automatically generated pairs are associated with the automatic pair recipe. The automatic pair recipe is the set of parameters in the Create Automatic Face Pairs dialog box that determine how to compute and group face pairs. When you select this check box, the generated contact pairs appear in the Simulation Navigator with the prefix Auto. If you update the master part, the software recalculates the face pairs and updates the boundary condition. When you clear this check box, the generated contact pairs are not associated with the face pair recipe. If the master model changes, the contact pairs are not updated. These pairs behave the same as manually created pairs.
Primary Region / Secondary Region
Appear when Type is set to Manual Pairing.
Primary Region****Secondary Region Let you select primary and secondary regions from the list, or click Create Region to create a new region. After you select a region, use Edit to modify it.See Region dialog box for more information.Click More Options to search and filter regions. The following options are available.FindLets you search for an object by entering the full name of the object. For example, to find a region named ABC_region, type ABC_region in the search box and press Enter or click Find . If the object is found, it will be selected automatically.Filter by NameLets you filter the list by the names of the objects. This filter supports wildcards. The default wildcard is the asterisk (), and it displays all entries in the list. For example, to filter the list to display every object with a name starting with the letter “a," enter a as the filter string.
Swap Regions
Appears when Type is set to Manual Pairing.
Swap Regions Swaps the primary and secondary region selections.
