Rotor Dynamics Solution Parameters dialog box
| Modeling Object | |
|---|---|
| Name | Defines the name of the modeling object. |
| Label | Specifies a unique numerical identifier for the modeling object. |
| Properties | |
| Rotation Speed Variation | Specifies how the reference rotor speed is defined.ConstantDefines a single reference rotor speed.Linear by StepsDefines a set of equally spaced reference rotor speeds.Function of Sweeping ParameterDefines the reference rotor speed with a sweeping parameter. |
| Rotation Speed (RSTART) | Appears when Rotation Speed Variation is set to Constant or Linear by Steps.Specifies the starting speed of the reference rotor speed. |
| Step Size (RSTEP) | Appears when Rotation Speed Variation is set to Linear by Steps.Specifies the step size of the reference rotor speed. |
| Number of Steps (NUMSTEP) | Appears when Rotation Speed Variation is set to Linear by Steps.Specifies the number of steps for reference rotor speed including RSTART. |
| Reference System (REFSYS) | Specifies the type of reference frame for the analysis. If the stator is not axisymmetric and the rotor is axisymmetric, select FIX.If the rotor is not axisymmetric and the stator is axisymmetric, select ROT. In this case, the rotor can be axisymmetric, 1D, 3D, or 3D cyclic symmetry, but the bearings must be isotropic. The reference frame determines the equations of motion that are solved, and each reference frame type has some additional options that you must consider. For more information, see Fixed reference frames and Rotating reference frames in Rotor dynamic analysis (SOL 414). |
| Reference and Output Units (RUNIT) | Specifies the units used for reference rotor speed input (RSTART and RSTEP) and output (units for output list and Campbell diagram output). |
| Whirl Direction Threshold (ORBEPS) | Sets the threshold value for detection of whirl direction. |
| .f06 Output (ROTPRT) | Controls .f06 output options. |
| Analysis Type (SYNC) | Appears when Rotation Speed Variation is set to Constant or Linear by Steps.Specifies whether to perform synchronous or asynchronous SOL 414,111 harmonic response analysis.Select Asynchronous to perform an asynchronous analysis.Select Synchronous to perform a synchronous analysis. In a Synchronous analysis, the excitation frequency adapts synchronously with the rotation speed. |
