| Available boundary conditions list | Lists the available boundary conditions (loads, constraints, and simulation objects) that are currently active in the solution. To be available for plotting, the boundary condition must be defined with a field that has an independent variable that matches the domain of the solution (for example, a time-dependent field in a transient solution). The following independent variables are supported:FrequencyHeat FlowMass FlowForce per AreaTemperatureTemperature DifferenceThermal CapacitanceTimeVelocityVolume FlowWhen you double-click a boundary condition, it is added to the Selected Boundary Conditions list for the XY plot. The software uses this first boundary condition as the seed item to determine which additional boundary conditions are compatible to be plotted. To be compatible, boundary conditions must meet the following criteria:It must be of the same type as the seed item. For example, if the seed item is a pressure, the additional boundary condition must be a pressure.It must be dependent on the same domain as the seed item, if the seed item is dependent on a domain.Incompatible boundary conditions are listed in red.If you select multiple boundary conditions to plot, a separate curve is generated for each boundary condition. | ||||||||||||||
| Selected Boundary Conditions | |||||||||||||||
| Name | Lists the boundary conditions you add from the Solution Boundary Conditions list. The XY plot is generated for these boundary conditions. | ||||||||||||||
| Property | Specifies the component to plot, when you select a boundary condition that is made up of components. To change the component to plot, right-click the property in the appropriate row and select the new component from the list.For example, for a component Pressure load, select Px/Pr, Py/Pt, Pz/Pp, or Magnitude. For a Convection constraint, select Ambient Temperature or Convection Coefficient.Note: When you plot multiple boundary conditions together, the list of components shows only the components that are shared by all of the selected boundary conditions. | ||||||||||||||
| Location | |||||||||||||||
| Select Object | (Optional) Lets you select a location, such as a node, and plot the selected property to view the portion of the magnitude that is distributed to that location at each iteration value. If you do not select a location, the software plots the overall magnitude of the property (that is, the magnitude that applies to the entire boundary condition) at each iteration value. You can select a node, element, element edge, or element face, depending on how the boundary condition is distributed:When the BC is distributed to...You can select:NodesNodeElementsElementElement facesElement faceElement edgesElement edgeFEMElement, edge, or faceCorner nodesNode | When the BC is distributed to... | You can select: | Nodes | Node | Elements | Element | Element faces | Element face | Element edges | Element edge | FEM | Element, edge, or face | Corner nodes | Node |

| Multiple Matches | Available when you select a Location.Specifies how to display the property values when you select a location that contains multiple items.The software evaluates the magnitude property value for each selected boundary condition at each iteration value at the specified location. If the specified location matches multiple items to which the boundary condition is distributed (for example, you select a solid element and the boundary condition is distributed to the element faces), the software plots the values according to the Multiple Matches option. Add — Displays the sum of the values of the multiple matches.Averaged — Displays the average of the values of the multiple matches.Min — Displays the minimum value of the multiple matches.Max — Displays the maximum value of the multiple matches.Multiple Curves — Displays a separate curve for each match. | ||||||||||||||
