Identify results by group or selection recipe
Note:
For Simcenter 3D Multiphysics cyclic symmetric results, you can identify results in any displayed sector, and the identified results include the sector ID.For more information about displaying sectors, see Set up a cyclic symmetric display.
Use the Menu→Preferences→Post Processing→Identify command to set the numeric format of the results values.
Choose Results tab→Tools group→Identify Results .
From the results list, select Nodes in Group or Elements in Group.Nodes in Group appears in the list when you are displaying nodal results; Elements in Group appears when you are displaying elemental or element-nodal results.
From the Mark Selection list, specify what to display in the graphics window:To display result value for each selected node or element, select Mark Result Values. To display the label numbers of the selected nodes or elements, select Mark IDs.To omit any result values or IDs, select No Marks.
From the Group list, select the group or selection recipe to use to select the nodes or elements.
Click Apply Group to select all nodes or elements in the specified group or selection recipe. For all selected nodes or elements, the Selection box lists the maximum, minimum, numerical sum, and averaged values. For single-node selection recipes, the selection recipe name also appears in the Node column.Selected nodes or elements are marked in the graphics window as specified in step 3.
(Optional) Select additional entities using any of the available methods. Entities are added to or removed from the Selection box based on your selection in the Boolean Operation list.To remove marks in the graphics window without clearing the Selection box, click Clear Highlights at any time.To remove all selected entities from the Selection box, click Clear Selection .
Click Close.Caution: Closing the Identify dialog box clears all selections and marks in the graphics window. To retain your data, export the selection to a file or spreadsheet before you close the dialog box.
