Check and fix your NVH assembly
Use this procedure to identify and fix connections, including lumped mass, whose physical property IDs (PIDs) are invalid or missing.
Note:
To ensure that you can see both the NVH Assembly Composer window and the Pre/Post graphics window, adjust the NVH Assembly Composer window and the Pre/Post window so that they are side by side or on different monitors. This ensures that the graphics window is visible if you use the Reframe on Selected PID command.
Choose Check Assembly .NVH Composer checks the connections for missing and invalid PIDs and updates the connection symbols in the layout view and the status symbols in the Mass List tab to display red for invalid connections.
To find connections that have no PIDs assigned, make sure that no connection is selected and then choose Search All PIDs .The Assembly Composer Search All PIDs Report dialog box opens with a list of the new PIDs for each connection.
To find invalid and missing PIDs for individual connections, select an invalid connection and choose Search PIDs .The Assembly Composer PID list dialog box appears or the Assembly Composer Search All PIDs Report appears with a list of the new PIDs for each connection.
In the Assembly Composer PID list dialog box, do following:From the Component Name list, select the component to which the connection should be connected.To see where the PID is located in the assembly FEM, in the Component PIDs list, select a PID and click Reframe on Selected PID .Do one of the following:To accept the listed component PIDs, click Replace PIDs.To make no replacements, click Close.If the PIDs you selected affect another component, the Assembly Composer PID list dialog box updates with a new list of PIDs for you to select from. Otherwise, the Assembly Composer Search PIDs Report opens with a confirmation of your replacement.
Repeat steps 1 through 3 until all connections are valid.
