Understanding the fatigue safety evaluation
You can evaluate fatigue safety to predict whether any part of the structure will ever fail in the design life due to cyclic loading in an event. The durability solver calculates the following fatigue safety result sets:
The fatigue safety factor (FSF)
The fatigue failure index (FFI)
To evaluate these results sets, the durability solver can use any of the following output methods:
Goodman output
Gerber output
Dang Van output
Note:
Dang Van output is not supported for orthotropic materials.
