Rigid wall definition (LS-DYNA)
In the LS-DYNA environment, use the Rigid Wall Definition command to simulate impact analyses with planar rigid walls. You can use the options in the Rigid Wall Definition dialog box to:
Specify the properties of the wall, such as its size and whether it has an initial mass and velocity.
Define the contact interaction that occurs at the wall.
Specify the nodes in the model that are slave nodes to the rigid wall.
The Rigid Wall Definition command corresponds to the LS-DYNA *RIGIDWALL_PLANAR keyword.
Where do I find it?
| Application | Pre/Post |
|---|---|
| Prerequisite | An active Simulation file with LS-DYNA as the specified solver |
| Command Finder | Rigid Wall Definition |
| Simulation Navigator | In the appropriate solution, right-click Constraint Container→New Constraint→Rigid Wall Definition |
