Connector Friction dialog box (Abaqus)
The Connector Friction dialog box corresponds to the Abaqus *CONNECTOR FRICTION keyword. For more information, see *CONNECTOR FRICTION in the Abaqus Keywords Guide.
| Modeling Object | |
|---|---|
| Name | Sets the name of the modeling object. |
| Label | Sets a unique integer for the modeling object. This label also appears in the Modeling Objects Manager dialog box, and you can filter the objects listed in that dialog box by their label. |
| Properties | |
| Component | Specifies the component (DOF) of relative motion for which the friction is defined. |
| Internal Contact Force Dependence****Internal Contact Moment Dependence | Specifies the type of friction coefficient. Only one type is currently available. Parameter-IndependentSelect to specify a friction coefficient that does not depend on slip rate, contact pressure, temperature, or field variables. |
| Internal Contact Force****Internal Contact Moment | Specifies the internal contact force or moment. |
| Stick Stiffness | Specifies the stick stiffness associated with the frictional behavior. If you enter no value, the software calculates the value. This option corresponds to the STICK_STIFFNESS parameter of the *CONNECTOR FRICTION keyword. For more information, see Connector Friction Behavior in the Abaqus Analysis Guide. |
| Frictional Behavior | Specifies a Friction modeling object to define friction behavior. Select an existing Friction modeling object from the list or click Create Modeling Object to create a new modeling object. For more information, see Friction dialog box (Abaqus). |
