Solve dialog box
| Solving Options | |
|---|---|
| Submit | Specifies the type of solve to run:Note: When you solve a master solution, these options apply only to the master solution, not to its prerequisite solutions. Solve — Formats the input file, and automatically begins processing. In this mode, the analysis job is submitted to the solver as soon as the data is formatted.Write Solver Input File — Creates an input file without performing a solve. You are not prompted to enter a file name. You can then manually transfer the input file to a system other than the system you are currently logged onto and solve the job on the other, remote system. For information about preparing a Simcenter 3D Ray Acoustics, Simcenter 3D Noise and Vibration, Model and Load Pre-processing, or meta-solution process job, such as Principal Component, Load Identification, and so on, on a local Windows system and solving it on a remote Linux system, see Remote solving workflow (Linux). For information about preparing an acoustic or transient BEM job on a local Windows system and solving it on a remote Linux system, see Acoustics BEM remote solving workflow (Linux).Solve Input File — Solves the input file written out by the Write Solver Input File option.Solve Model Quality Results — Available only with the environment:Simcenter 3D Acoustics BEM.Simcenter 3D Acoustics Transient BEM.Simcenter Nastran, Acoustic or Vibro-Acoustic analysis type, and SOL 108 Direct Frequency Response or SOL 111 Modal Frequency Response solution type.Simcenter 3D Noise and Vibration, Vibro-Acoustic analysis type, and Modal Acoustic Transfer Vector (MATV) Response or Acoustic Transfer Vector (ATV) Response solution type.Computes only the model quality results, and checks results such as element maximum frequency, free edges, junction edges, and coupling quality. The quality results check verifies the validity of the model for analysis. This validation helps to ensure accuracy of the results.Edit Existing Input File and Solve — Opens an existing input file so that you can edit the file. When you close the file, the solve process is automatically initiated. Write, Edit & Solve Input File — Creates the input file without performing a solve, and then opens an existing input file so that you can edit it. When you close the file, the solve process is automatically initiated. Note: When you select this option, the Prerequisite Solutions Chain group is not available. |
| Model Setup Check | Checks the model for problems before beginning the solve. If the model check finds a problem, the solve does not start, and a description of the problem appears in the Information window.Note: The Model setup check is always included with the Simcenter 3D Acoustics BEM solver environment. When you solve a master solution, the model setup check applies to the master solution and all of its prerequisite solutions. |
| Resolve Label Conflicts in Sim Part | Available when label conflicts exist.Resolves coordinate system, physical property, and group label conflicts between the Simulation file and the associated FEM. Alternatively, you can use the Simulation Label Manager command to control how the label conflicts are resolved. |
| Edit Solution Attributes | Opens the Edit Solution dialog box, where you can edit the attributes for this solution. |
| Edit Solver Parameters | Opens the Edit Solver Parameters dialog box, where you can edit the parameters for the current solver. |
| Edit Advanced Solver Options | Appears when Simcenter Nastran, Samcef, Abaqus, ANSYS, or LS-DYNA is the selected solver.Opens the Advanced Solver Options dialog box, where you can edit output, export, and formatting options. |
| Prerequisite Solutions Chain | |
| Select All | Adds all listed prerequisite solutions to the solve, including those that were solved previously. |
| Deselect All | Removes all listed prerequisite solutions from the solve. |
| Default | Reverts changes that you made to the list of prerequisite solutions. |
| Prerequisite solutions | Lists the prerequisite solutions assigned to the master solution. You can include or exclude a solution. Check boxes and icons indicate the solution status. Included Clear this check box to exclude the solution. Excluded Select this check box to include the solution. Not solved. The solution is excluded from the master solution solve. Click this icon to include the solution.Excluding an unsolved prerequisite solution can cause errors in subsequent solutions.Note: By default, prerequisite solutions that are already solved are excluded from the master solution solve. In the Samcef solver environment, excluding non-solved solutions from a chain of solutions can cause errors during the master solution solve. |
