Laminate Composites > Creating a laminate physical property

Export to Fibersim

Use the Export to Fibersim command to export laminate physical properties and their associated collectors to an Excel spreadsheet or a tab separated text file that follow the Fibersim PDI format. This file allows you to import the collectors as zones in the Fibersim ACEE.

The exported file contains:

  • Zones, which are taken from the names of the 2D collectors associated with the selected laminate physical properties.

  • Laminate definitions, which list the laminate name and stacking sequence.

  • Material specifications, which list the material name, ply orientation, and the ply step. The ply step is the order in which the ply is stacked in the layup.
