Samcef environment > Samcef boundary conditions
Enabling or disabling entities (Simcenter Samcef)
In Structural or Axisymmetric and Other 2D Structural analyses with a Nonlinear Analysis solution type, or in a Thermal analysis with a Heat Transfer solution type, you can do the following:
Use Element Enable from Subcase or Element Disable from Subcase simulation objects to enable or disable a set of elements during an entire subcase. For more details, see Enabling or disabling elements in subcases (Simcenter Samcef).
Enable or disable contact/glue conditions during an entire subcase. For more details, see Enabling or disabling contact and glue simulation objects in subcases (Simcenter Samcef).
Note:
Besides enabling or disabling entities, you can also control the birth and death times of elements. For more information, see Controlling the birth and death times of elements in nonlinear and thermal analyses (Simcenter Samcef).
