Displaying alternate FEM representations
Use the Graphical Representation options in the FE Model Component Representation dialog box to control how the software displays the alternate representation of the component FEM or assembly FEM model when you create a mode set or FRF set.
| Graphical Representation option | Description | Example |
|---|---|---|
| Approximation of base FEM | Displays a transparent, non-selectable approximation of the nodes and elements of the base FEM file. | |
| Super Element Symbol | Displays a generic, symbolic representation of the representation as a spider element | |
| None | The software does not display any graphical representation of the alternate representation. |
Mode and FRF set display examples
This example model shows an assembly FEM that is attached to a beam structure.
