SRS to Time Conversion dialog box

Generates a Time function from a Shock Response Spectrum (SRS) function.

Qualifying Records table
Qualifying Records Displays the available AFU records.
Show All Displays all records in the loaded AFU.If you clear this check box, the table displays only the functions available that can be processed by the conversion.
AFU Name column Lists the AFU loaded to the model.
Record Name column Lists the record identifier.
Function Type column Lists the function type (Frequency, Time, and so on).
Abs Unit column Lists the abscissa (X-axis) units.
Ord Unit column Lists the ordinate (Y-axis) units.
Add AFU Records Adds a function to the table.Select the function from a loaded AFU file in the XY Function Navigator and click .
Remove AFU Records Removes a function from the table.Select the function in the table and click .
Input Parameters
Conversion Method Selects the conversion method to be used:Damped SinusoidAssumes the function is a summation of decaying sinusoidal functions. This method is useful because many field shock environments look like the sums of decaying sinusoids. If there is a shock event in the environment, it will likely have become damped sinusoids by the time it reaches your structure. WaveletAssumes the pulse is a combination of the products of sinusoidal functions. An iterative process is used to synthesize a time function based on the Number of Trials that you specify.
Conversion Iteration Available when the Conversion Method is set to Damped Sinusoid. Sets the number of iterations for the conversion.
Number of Time Points Specifies the number of points for the resulting record.128(27)**Generates 128 time points.256(28)**Generates 256 time points.512(29)**Generates 512 time points.1024(210)**Generates 1024 time points.2048(211)**Generates 2048 time points.4096(212)**Generates 4096 time points.8192(213)**Generates 8192 time points.16384(214)**Generates 16384 time points.32768(215)**Generates 32768 time points.65536(216)**Generates 65536 time points.
Damping Ratio Sets the damping ratio.
Octave Spacing Available when the Conversion Method is set to Wavelet. Sets the octave band as:1/31/61/12
Number of Trials Available when the Conversion Method is set to Wavelet. Sets the Number of Trials to iteratively compute the function.
Conversion Strategy Available when the Conversion Method is set to Wavelet.Selects the conversion strategy.RandomGenerates a random method of low and high-frequency wavelets to create the function.Reverse sine SweepGenerates a method where the highest-frequency wavelet has no time delay and each lower-frequency wavelet has a progressively longer delay.CombinationGenerates a combination of the Random and Reverse sign Sweep methods.
Save SRS Results Saves the SRS results to the AFU file.Note: Because the conversion process is an iterative process, comparing the resulting SRS function to the original can be an indication of how good the conversion process was. If the functions compare reasonably well, the conversion is probably a good match.
Output
Output Specifies how the software should write the resulting data in the AFU file.AppendAppends the new function to an existing function.OverwriteOverwrites an existing function with the new function.Other AFUSelects a new AFU file in which to save the function.
AFU File Appears when Output is set to Other AFU.Sets the path and file name of the AFU file where the resulting data will be saved. You can also click Browse to select the file location.
