NVH Composer workspace
NVH Composer views
The NVH Composer application window is comprised of the following views:
Layout view, for graphically adding connections and components.For information on adding connections and components to the layout view, see Create an NVH Composer project. For information on managing the layout view, see Managing the layout view.
Tabbed property views, which let you set properties for the project, connections, and components. Project view, for setting file locations, assembly numbering, and units.For more information, see Project view.Definition view, for setting properties for connections and components.For more information, see Definition view.Mass List view, which displays imported lumped mass connections, and which allows you to change settings and create new lumped mass connections.For more information, see Definition view.
Connection DB view, which displays the connection database items and their properties. You cannot update the connection item properties in the Connection DB view, but you can update the Connection DB XLS/XLSX or XML file and then open the Connection DB again.For more information, see NVH Composer connections database.
Updating options on the Project, Definition, and Mass List views
To add or change a value in the Project or Definition views, click to the far right of the option (1). Depending on the options, a box (2) appears where you can type a value, a list (3) appears from which you can select a value, or a dialog box opens from which you can select a file.
To add or change a value in the Mass List view, double-click any option. A box appears where you can type a value, or a list appears from which you can select a value.

Status indicators
Colors indicate the status of connections, components, and options in the Project, Definition, and Mass List views.
Bright green indicates that the status is valid.
Light green indicates that the value for the option needs to be checked. The value may or may not be valid.
Red indicates that the value for the option is invalid.
Gray indicates that the option is not applicable.
Managing the layout view
To enlarge the space for the layout view, you can close each property views by clicking X in the upper-right corner of each view. To display them again, choose View and then select the view you want to display.
To move components, adjust the layout, zoom in and out, and display selected connections or components in Pre/Post, use the following commands.
