Destination Folder
Constraint Container Specifies the folder in the Simulation Navigator in which the boundary condition will be stored. The list includes the root container and existing folders that you created using the New Folder command. Examples of a root container include Load Container, Constraint Container, and Simulation Object Container.
Folder Manager Displays a hierarchical listing of existing folders. To create a new folder, right-click any level of the hierarchy and choose New Folder.
Slave Nodes
Group Reference Lets you apply the boundary condition to a group. For more information, see Group Reference options.
Select Object Lets you specify the nodes that are slave to the rigid wall.Use the Excluded options to remove individual entities, such as edges, from your selection.
Stacked Smart Selector Methods Opens the Smart Selector Methods dialog box where you can specify a progression of smart selection filters. For more information, see Smart Selector Methods dialog box.
Slave Nodes to be Exempted (NSIDEX)
Select Object Lets you select nodes that you want to exempt from acting as slave nodes to the rigid wall.
Stacked Smart Selector Methods Opens the Smart Selector Methods dialog box where you can specify a progression of smart selection filters. For more information, see Smart Selector Methods dialog box.
Card 1
Include All Slave Nodes in a Box (BOXID) Lets you specify that all nodes that lie inside a defined box are included as slave nodes to the rigid wall.
Box Diagonal First Corner****Box Diagonal Second Corner Lets you specify the first and second corners that define the box.
Include All Slave Nodes Within This Offset (OFFSET) Lets you specify that all nodes that lie within a specified offset distance to the wall are slave nodes.
Offset Specifies the normal offset distance to the rigid wall. All nodes that lie within that distance are considered as slave nodes.
Card 2
Rigid Wall CSYS Lets you specify the coordinate system in which to define the wall. The XY plane of this coordinate system is the rigid wall plane.
Contact Interface Defines the friction at the interface.Friction: Lets you specify the Coulomb coefficient of friction at the interface.Welded After Frictionless Sliding: Specifies that a node welds to the wall after contact with frictionless sliding occurs. Welding occurs when the normal value of the impact velocity exceeds the critical value specified in theCritical Normal Velocity box. Welded with No Sliding: Specifies that a node welds to the wall after contact with no sliding occurs. Welding occurs when the normal value of the impact velocity exceeds the critical value specified in theCritical Normal Velocity box.
Coulomb Friction Coefficient (FRIC) If you select Friction from the Contact Interface list, lets you specify the Coulomb friction coefficient.
Critical Normal Velocity If you select Welded After Frictionless Sliding orWelded with No Sliding from the Contact Interference list, lets you specify the critical normal velocity at which nodes weld to the wall.
Optional Card C and D
FINITE Controls whether the size of the planar wall is finite or infinite.Select FINITE if the size of the wall is finite.Clear the FINITE check box if the wall is infinite in size.
Length Along X-axis If you select the FINITE check box, specifies the length of the wall along its x-axis.
Length Along Y-axis If you select the FINITE check box, specifies the length of the wall along its x-axis.
MOVING Controls whether the wall is in motion.Select MOVING if you want to assign a mass and initial velocity to the wall.Clear the MOVING check box if the wall is stationary.
Total Mass of Stonewall If you select the MOVING check box, specifies the mass of the wall.
Initial Velocity of Stonewall If you select the MOVING check box, specifies the initial velocity of the wall.
