Define configurable material properties (site MatML Library owner)
You can make material properties of material definitions, including user-defined material models, configurable by your users. For example, you can define a plasticity material model on a material definition and make the Hardening Rule configurable. This allows users to switch the Hardening Rule from Isotropic to Kinematic or something else without having to copy the material definition.
This example shows how to make the Hardening Rule configurable.
Choose Home tab→Properties group→More→Manage Library Materials .
From the Material List, select Library Materials.
In the Libraries group, select the Site MatML Library check box or User MatML Library check box, whichever contains your custom materials.
Select a custom material that contains a plasticity material model, and an Isotropic and Kinematic hardening rule.
Right-click the selected material and choose Edit Library Material(s).
Click the User Models - Simcenter Nastran page.
To allow configuration, click No Configuration Allowed next to Hardening Rule and choose Allow Configuration .
Click OK to close the Material Library Manager dialog box..
Now users can modify the Hardening Rule configurable material properties in the Manage Materials dialog box. For more information, see Modify configurable material properties (end user).
