Imprint dialog box

Select Source Edge or Curve
Select Edge/Curve	Lets you select one or more edges or curves to imprint onto a target face.
Target Projection Face
Select Target Face	Lets you select the face onto which to imprint the selected edge or curve.
Direction
Direction	Controls the vector that the software uses to project the source edge or curve to the target face.Normal to Face: Projects the source edge or curve along a vector that the software calculates. The software projects every point along the selected edge to the closest point on the target face.Along Vector: Projects the source edge or curve along a vector that you specify.Lets you specify a vector that defines the direction in which to project the curve onto the target face. See Vector dialog box for more information.
Specify Vector	Available if Direction is set to Along Vector.Lets you specify a vector that defines the direction in which to project the curve onto the target face. See Vector dialog box for more information.
Settings
Keep Closest Imprint Only	If the software finds duplicate imprints of the same edge or curve, removes the appropriate one.
Stitch	Applies only to source edges, not source curves.Stitches the source edge to the imprinted edge on the target face. Note: The source edge must lie in close proximity to the target face.
Snap Ends	When selected, the software extends the ends of the source edge or curve to connect to the boundaries of the target face that lie within the specified Search Distance.Select this option to eliminate small gaps between the imprinted edge or curve and the boundary of the target face.
Snap Distance	Available when the Snap Ends check box is selected.Specifies the distance that the software searches within to find the boundary of the target face. If that distance is less than this value, the software extends the end of the imprinted curve to the boundary of the target face.
Preview
Preview Edges	Previews the imprinted edge on the target face.
