Simcenter Nastran UMAT subroutine
Simcenter Nastran only loads the UMAT subroutine when it detects user-defined material bulk entries in the solver input file. This subroutine may contain one or more material models. For example, one material model is valid for an Isotropic, Orthotropic, Anisotropic, or Damage Interface material. The subroutine outputs stresses in the material axes, accumulated plastic and creep strains, state variables, creep time step ratio, tangent material stiffness matrix, and so on, to be used in the Simcenter Nastran computation.
Simcenter Nastran loads only one subroutine with a Simcenter Nastran run.
For more information about the Simcenter Nastran UMAT capability, subroutine, official compiler version for Simcenter Nastran, and so on, see User defined materials.
How do I
Sample UMAT XML file
Add UMAT property values to MatML Library material definitions (site MatML Library owner)
Define a material with a UMAT model from scratch
Define a material with a UMAT model from a standard library definition
Define configurable material properties (site MatML Library owner)
Modify configurable material properties (end user)
Export a material with a UMAT model
Define, specify, and plot state variables
