Rod Property dialog box (Simcenter Samcef)
| Physical Property Table | |

| Name | Sets the name of the physical property table. |
| Label | Sets a unique numeric identifier for the physical property table. The number is incremented automatically for the next physical property you create. |

| Material | Specifies a material for the associated elements.Select a material from the list of materials assigned to the model, or click Choose material to define a new material. |
| Area | Specifies the area of the rod. |
| Nonstructural Mass | Specifies the non-structural mass of the rod. |
| Damping Type | Specifies a damping type. No DampingNo damping.ViscousLets you define a viscous (or non-modal) damping.Hysteretic Stiffness FactorLets you define hysteretic (or structural) damping based a given stiffness factor.Hysteretic Flexibility FactorLets you define hysteretic (or structural) damping based a given flexibility factor.For more information on damping, see Damping (Simcenter Samcef). |
| Viscous Stiffness Factor (ALPHA) | Appears when Damping Type is set to Viscous.Sets the viscous stiffness factor. |
