Query Curve dialog box (post-processing)
Query Curvedialog box for creating a query curve from post-processing results.
| Name | Sets the name of the query curve. |
|---|---|
| Method | Specifies the method with which to create the query curve.Node IDConnects the node IDs of the selected nodes to create a query curve.CoordinatesConnects the coordinates of the native results coordinate system to create a query curve. Element IDConnects the element IDs of the selected elements to create a query curve. Note: Element ID appears only when elemental results are displayed. |
| Pick | Specifies the entity that is selected when you click in the post view. NodesSelects individual nodes when you click in the post view.Nodes on EdgeSelects all nodes on a feature edge in the post view. All nodal coordinates along the edge are added to the box.Free PointAppears when Method is set to Coordinates. Selects any point along a feature face or edge and adds it to the coordinates in the box.ElementsAppears when Method is set to Elements. Selects individual elements when you click in the post view.Elements On EdgeAppears when Method is set to Elements on Edge. Selects all elements on a feature edge in the post view. All element coordinates along the edge are added to the box. |
| Points (one per line) | Appears when Method is set to Coordinates.Displays the coordinates selected for the query curve. |
| Node IDs | Appears when Method is set to Node ID.Displays the node IDs selected for the query curve. |
| Element IDs | Appears when Method is set to Element ID.Displays the element IDs selected for the query curve. |
| Show Insert Points | Appears when Method is set to Coordinates.Displays the IDs of selected nodes, elements, or points in the graphics window. |
| Show IDs | Appears when Method is set to Node ID or Element ID.Displays the IDs of selected nodes or elements in the graphics window. |
| Clear | Clears the selected node IDs, element IDs, or coordinates, and removes all selected nodes, elements, or points in the graphics window. |
| Reverse | Reverses the direction of the selected curves. |
| Cycle Start Point | If the query curve is closed (the starting point is the ending point), traverses the curve so you can select the start point. |
| Insert N points per segment | Appears when Method is set to Coordinates.Specifies the number of equidistant data points between two coordinates. For example, if you enter 10, the software creates a path with 12 data points: the two points you specify, plus 10 evenly spaced points between them. |
