Create an acoustic source load

You can define an acoustic source, for example, Acoustic Monopole, to apply a load to acoustic fluid nodes or arbitrary point in space in a Simcenter Nastran acoustic or vibro-acoustic analysis.

  1. In the Simulation Navigator, expand the Solver Sets node, right-click the appropriate acoustic load set, and choose NewAcoustic Monopole. The Acoustic Monopole dialog box appears.

  2. Enter a name, or use the defaults.

  3. Select the node or point in space on which the acoustic source is applied.

  4. Select the Amplitude or Power type, and enter appropriate values.

  5. Click OK.The software places the load in the Load Container and Acoustic Load Set.
