Generate a DOF set that matches the sensor location

This example shows how to generate a DOF set that matches the sensor DOF settings for the selected configuration. You can use this procedure to generate matching DOF set for the exciters` location.

  1. In the Simulation Navigator, right-click the Min-MAC 1 node and choose Generate Matching DOF Set.

  2. In the message box, click OK to create the DOF set and change the nodal coordinate system only for those nodes with automatically-generated face normal directions. The Z-axis of the nodal coordinate system is aligned with the face normal direction. The arrow shows the modified nodal coordinate system.Note: If you do not want to modify the nodal coordinate system, in the Generate Matching DOF Set message box, click Create DOF Set Only.A new DOF set is created under the Solver Sets node: Min–MAC 1. The generated DOF set matches the sensor DOF settings for the selected configuration. airplane.sim airplane.fem CSYS Groups Solver Sets DOFSet(1) Min–MAC 1

  3. (Optional) Rename the created DOF set to something meaningful:Right-click Min–MAC 1 and choose Rename.Type the new name.Click Enter.
