Fluid-Structure Interaction Control Parameters dialog box (Nastran)
Use the options in this dialog box to specify the necessary describers for the FLSCNT case control command. These options allow you to control fluid-structure symmetry and specify requests for FORCE output.
Note:
The format of the FLSCNT case control command differs depending on whether Simcenter Nastran and MSC Nastran is the specified solver.
| Modeling Object | |
|---|---|
| Name | Sets the name of the modeling object. |
| Label | Sets a unique numerical identifier for the modeling object. |
| Properties | |
| Description | Lets you specify a description for this modeling object. Enter a brief description or click to open a text editor, where you can enter a longer description. |
| Symmetric Request (ACSYM) | Specifies a symmetric or non-symmetric solution for fluid-structure analysis.YES — Specifies a symmetric solution for fluid-structure analysis. This option requests the dynamic equations for coupled fluid-structure analysis in frequency response are symmetrized for efficiency.NO — Specifies a non-symmetric solution for fluid-structure analysis. |
| Particle Velocity Output Type (ACOUT) | Specifies the type of output to use with the FORCE case control request in coupled fluid-structural analysis.PEAK — Specifies peak value output.RMS — Specifies root-mean-square output.PEAKINT— Available for MSC Nastran analyses only. Specifies peak value intensity (INTENSITY) output.RMSINT— Available for MSC Nastran analyses only. Specifies root-mean-square intensity (INTENSITY) output. |
| Reference Pressure (PREFDB) | Specifies the reference pressure (PREFDB) to use for computing pressure in decibels.A peak reference pressure must be specified for PREFDB. Enter the reference pressure as dB = 20 log (P/PREFDB). For example, for air the reference pressure is PREFDB = 20 × E−06 Pascals. To obtain sound pressure level in units of dB and dBA given by the FORCE command, specify peak reference pressure with PARAM, PREFDB. The dB level is defined as: |
| Coupled Solution (ASCOUP) | Specifies a coupled or uncoupled solution request for fluid-structure analysis.YES — Specifies the fluid-structure coupled solution request. This option adds the direct input fluid-structure coupling matrix to the computed fluid-structure coupling matrix.NO — Specifies the fluid and structure to uncouple solution request. This option replaces the direct input fluid-structure coupling matrix with the computed fluid-structure coupling matrix. |
| Coupled Information (SKINOUT) | Specifies whether to output coupling data with pairing information.NONE — Coupling information is not written out.PUNCH — Coupling information is written to the (.pch) punch file.FREEFACE — Available for Simcenter Nastran solutions only. Coupling information is written to the debug file, and coupling quality results are stored in the OP2 file.STOP — Available for Simcenter Nastran solutions only. Works like the FREEFACE option, but stops after the output files are created.PRINT — Available for MSC Nastran solutions only. Writes coupling data to the .f06 file only. ALL — Available for MSC Nastran solutions only. Writes coupling data to both the .pch and .f06 files. |
| Output Coupling Matrix to Punch File (AGGPCH) | Available for Simcenter Nastran solutions only. When set to YES, requests the output of the fluid-structure coupling matrix AGG to be written to the punch file. When NO (default), the coupling matrix is not written. |
| Import Coupling Matrix From SFE AKUSMOD (SFEF70) | Available for Simcenter Nastran solutions only. When set to YES, requests the import of a fluid-structure coupling matrix created by SFE AKUSMOD. When NO (default), the coupling matrix is not imported. |
