Create nodes

1. Click Node Create .

2. (Optional) Specify the Label to use for the new node.

3. You create nodes with respect to a specific reference coordinate system. Use the CSYS options in the Reference CSYS group to select or create a coordinate system to position the nodes.

4. During the analysis, the software computes the node's displacements with respect to a specific coordinate system. Use the CSYS options in the Displacement CSYS group to select or create a coordinate system to position the nodes.Note: You can use the same coordinate system for both the reference and displacement coordinate systems, or you can specify different coordinate systems.

5. Either use a Specify Point command to select or create a point on which to create a node, or enter the X, Y, Z coordinates at which to create the node.

6. Click OK or Apply to create the new node.

7. Use the Assign Nodal Coordinate System command to specify the coordinate system to use as the node's displacement and/or reference coordinate system. See Working with nodal coordinate systems for more information.
