Exporting thermal and flow data
Exporting a file in INPF format
You can export a file in INPF format, a solver-specific input file format. The file contains the same information as a standard Simcenter 3D Thermal/Flow, Electronic Systems Cooling, and Space Systems Thermal input file in XML format, but the INPF format is readable by the thermal solver. This format is described in the Input File Format Overview section in the Thermal Solver TMG Reference Manual .
Exporting mapping constraints
You can export a file that defines thermal and flow mapping constraints created after a thermal, flow, or coupled analysis and before a mapping.
Exporting to CGNS
You can export the mesh and boundary condition data in CGNS format. For more information, see CFD export to CGNS.
Exporting a radiation model constructed with primitives
You can export primitives created with Simcenter 3D Space Systems Thermal to formats readable by the ESARAD version 5.8, TSS v11.01, Thermica, and Step-Tas v6 analysis programs. The translation and rotation information, relative element position and sequence, optical material properties, element thickness, and active (radiating) element face are all preserved. Once imported into the other software, primitives originating in Space Systems Thermal behave the same as native primitives.
You can also export primitives and elements created with Space Systems Thermal to a format readable by TRASYS. However, primitives are broken into individual elements, and these elements along with all other 2D elements are exported as individual TRASYS primitives.
Exporting to SINDA-85 or ESATAN
You can export the thermal conduction-capacitance model of Space Systems Thermal solutions as a SINDA-85 or ESATAN 8.5 model. When you perform this type of export, the software generates a model based on the active solution which includes the radiation matrix and the conductances, capacitances, heat loads, and temperatures of the thermal model (as expressed in the solver-generated file MODLCF). When you export the solution to SINDA-85 or ESATAN format, the software creates an output file containing this same information in a format recognized by the selected radiation analysis program.
You can then open the exported model in the SINDA or ESATAN program and use the program to modify or solve your model.
