Joint
Use a Joint type modeling object to characterize the motion of selected elements in your model. You always use a Joint type modeling object in conjunction with an Articulation simulation object to simulate the transient radiative heat exchange induced by the motion of mechanized assemblies. For more information, see Solid Motion Effects.
You can:
Create both rotational and translational joints using the options in the Type menu in the Joint dialog box.
Create compound movements using the options in the Parent Joint group in the Joint dialog box.
