Field Import dialog box
Note:
If an existing field is assigned to a boundary condition, material property, and so on, you can replace it with an imported field of the same name only if the domains of both fields have the same dimensionality.

| Conflict Resolution | Specifies how the software handles conflicts that arise when you import a field that has the same name as an existing field.Append (#) to Imported Field NameRetains the name of the existing field and renames the field that you are importing by appending an integer to the field name.For example, if the existing field is named Table Field(1) and you import a file that contains a field named Table Field(1), the software retains the existing field as Table Field(1) and renames the imported field as Table Field(2).Prepend String to Imported Field NameRetains the name of the existing field and renames the field that you are importing by prepending a text string to the field name.For example, if the existing field is named Table Field(1), String to prepend to conflicting field names is set to Imported Field, and you import a file that contains a field named Table Field(1), the software retains the existing field as Table Field(1) and renames the imported field as Imported Field Table Field(1).User Specified Replace and/or RenameDetermines the naming depending on the setting in the Status column of the Fields table. |
