Modifying friction properties between steps (Abaqus)
In a multi-step Abaqus solution, you can change the friction properties of contact pair interactions and change the friction definition for each solution step.
Use the Abaqus Change Friction Definition modeling object to change the friction properties of contact pair interactions. You can define:
Surface interaction (the contact pairs)
Amplitude
Friction parameters
Abaqus Change Friction Definition corresponds to the parameters for the Abaqus *CHANGE FRICTION and *FRICTION keywords.
From the Solution Step dialog box, you can change the friction definition for each solution step.
