FE Model Correlation and Update > Model update and model update set solution processes > Design variables in the model update and model update set solution processes
Modify a design variable
For each design variable, you can modify the following settings:
Scale factor
Lower bound
Upper bound
Weight
This procedure shows how to modify the scale factor value of the design variable.
In the Simulation Navigator, select the Design Variables [#] node. The following table shows an example of design variable information that is displayed in the Correlation Details View subpanel.IDNameLabelValueLower BoundUpper BoundWeightPhysical PropertyTypeField 22.C_MODC_MOD1.0000.5002.0001.000MAT1 2MAT1E 23.MNT_KXMNT_KX1.0000.5002.0001.000PELAS 30001PELASK1 24.MNT_KYMNT_KY1.0000.5002.0001.000PELAS 30002PELASK1
In the Correlation Details View subpanel, in the Value column, click on the value box of the desired design variable until the cell becomes editable.
Enter the desired scale factor value.
Press Enter.
