Orbit Modeling Object
Name Specify a meaningful name and unique numeric label identifier for the Orbit modeling object.
Properties
Description Specify a description of the Orbit modeling object.
Planet Specifies the celestial body. Select Generic if you want to define a celestial body not defined on the list.
Orbit Type Specifies the orbit type based on predefined orbit models. When Planet is set to Earth, the available orbit types are: Beta Angle, Geostationary, Classical, Sun-synchronous, Shuttle, Molniya, and Sun Planet Vectors. When Planet is set to any option except Earth orbit types are: Beta Angle, Geosynchronous, Classical, and Sun Planet Vectors.
Orbit Period Displays the orbit period depending on the selected Planet and Orbit Type.
Spacecraft Attitude page
Defines the orientation of the spacecraft with respect to orbital, solar, or star vectors, and its rotation. For more information, see Orbit – Spacecraft Attitude.
Sun Planet Characteristics page
Defines the planet size, period, gravity, and albedo fluxes. For more information, see Orbit – Sun Planet Characteristics.
Orbit Parameters page
Defines the orbit parameters of the object in orbit, the sun, and the selected celestial body. For more information, see Orbit – Calculation Positions.
Calculation Positions page
Defines the calculation points on the full or partial obit. For more information, see Orbit – Orbit Parameters.
