Dynamic analysis

Dynamic analysis lets you evaluate the dynamic responses of a model to an excitation.

Supported dynamic solutions

Pre/Post provides pre- and post-processing support for the following Simcenter Nastran dynamic solutions:

  • SOL 108 Direct Frequency Response. SOL 108 directly calculates the frequency response of a structure subjected to a dynamic excitation.

  • SOL 109 Direct Transient Response. SOL 109 directly calculates the transient response of a structure subjected to a dynamic excitation.

  • SOL 111 Modal Frequency Response. SOL 111 first computes the normal modes of a structure, and then calculates the frequency response of the structure using the reduced modal representation.

  • SOL 112 Modal Transient Response. SOL 112 first computes the normal modes of a structure, and then calculates the transient response of the structure using the reduced modal representation.

  • SOL 129 Nonlinear Transient Response. SOL 129 directly calculates the transient response of a structure subjected to a dynamic excitation.

  • SOL 401 Multi-Step Nonlinear (Nonlinear Dynamics subcase). SOL 401 directly calculates the transient response of a structure subjected to a dynamic excitation.

  • SOL 402 Multi-Step Nonlinear Kinematics (Nonlinear Dynamics subcase). SOL 402 directly calculates the transient response of a structure subjected to a dynamic excitation.
